Admitted to the Brussels’ Bar in 1993, Laurence van de Kerchove started her activity in the lawfirm Wery & Associés, where she handled cases related to Construction Law and Banking Law.
After a few years, she became specialized in Banking Law and Commercial Law. Currently, she essentially works for a Belgian bank, treating its litigation cases.
Laurence van de Kerchove joined Cairn Legal in 2005, where she assists numerous businesses, as an advisory or litigation counsel, concerning their day-to-day commercial problems as well as structuring their projects. When appropriate, other Cairn Legal lawyers will intervene in their field of expertise (Telecommunication and Information Technologies Law, Advertising Law, Labour Law, etc).
Most of the cases Laurence treats are related to Security Property Law (mortgage and guarantees), Insolvency Law (bankruptcy, judicial reorganization procedure) and Corporate and Credit Law (including Administrator Liability issues).
