Virginie Schoonheyt

Virginie SCHOONHEYT graduated from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in june 2008. Virginie started working as a lawyer at Cairn Legal, where she gained experience in Consumer Law and Banking Law.

She also graduated from UCL in June 2015 with a degree in banking and financial law, which enables her to master the legal provisions applicable to financial markets and banks. She is currently working on commercial cases in the broad sense and banking cases both to defend the rights of investors/consumers and those of the banks themselves. These cases are related to Security Property Law (mortgage and guarantees), Insolvency Law (bankruptcy, judicial reorganization procedure, collective debt settlement) and commercial operations relating to the activities of a business (commercial leases, loans, debt recovery).
